In the 41st minute, Alfonso Aquilino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Gayoso, passed just outside the right post. 43 minutes into the match, forsal FC's Attilio Pani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Attilio Pani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Attilio Pani came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the forsal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Attilio Pani couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Lucchetta in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 93 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for forsal FC.
