Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Kaido Jaas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Kaido Jaas sent off a good shot on target. Ago Aas took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaido Jaas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 10th play minutes Kaido Jaas shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, FC Dundee's Teet Lasso got a free kick in the 12th minute. FC Dundee's Hardi Lind suffered a concussion in the 14th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Arvo Kena made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Arvo Kena was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Dundee's players had a chance to rest. Arno Luuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Kaido Jaas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Luuk in the 37th minute of play. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

51 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Ain Averin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. FC Dundee's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ain Averin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arno Luuk went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Arno Luuk scored 9-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Carballo lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for FC Dundee. Arno Luuk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Sanz. 10-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Luuk in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Luuk in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, FC Dundee's Teet Lasso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Dundee reached it. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Luuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
