Matias Dimo came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Alex Sarangapani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roque Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Cranenburgh in the 31st minute. Silvano De Toro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Matias Dimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Sporting Westmeerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Sarangapani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Sarangapani. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52 minutes Sporting Westmeerbeek's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. In the 54th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 62 minutes into the match, Roque Aguilar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Aguilar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 67th minute of the game Silvano De Toro made a throw-in which Edward Cranenburgh played forward. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Roque Aguilar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Westmeerbeek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Silvano De Toro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Çelebi Tublek was substituted for Pieter Degraef. After a rather tough play, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Silvano De Toro got a free kick in the 77th minute. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Matias Dimo threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Illescas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Sarangapani came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Alex Sarangapani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çelebi Tublek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
