Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SEFEROĞULLARI's Önder Cebi got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yücel Güler in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of SEFEROĞULLARI booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulbaki Tuğtekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
