Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Laurend Steenbecks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. Laurend Steenbecks came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by AUcimont's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of AUcimont booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced AUcimont's goalkeeper Laurend Steenbecks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by AUcimont's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that AUcimont's Laurend Steenbecks managed to reach the ball for a save. 30 minutes into the match, AUcimont's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Laurend Steenbecks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. AUcimont's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Laurend Steenbecks in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 32 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Laurend Steenbecks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xander-Paul Van der Meiren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 43 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guilian Hombroeckx who took care of the corner kick. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xander-Paul Van der Meiren. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilian Hombroeckx made a kick off. Luk Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guilian Hombroeckx struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AUcimont. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander-Paul Van der Meiren in the 58th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Pulix in the 63rd minute of play. Laurend Steenbecks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 66th minute of play. AUcimont's Tim-Jan Terhorst was substituted for Guilian Hombroeckx. The supporters of AUcimont booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tim-Jan Terhorst came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Laurend Steenbecks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xander-Paul Van der Meiren in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xander-Paul Van der Meiren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim-Jan Terhorst in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AUcimont's Jacob Buyck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of play forced AUcimont's goalkeeper Laurend Steenbecks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Xander-Paul Van der Meiren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AUcimont fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Ecuador played a much better game than AUcimont and deserved their victory. The AUcimont players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
