Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Songur Yoran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. If Damaso Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arsenal FC's David Brochu in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. After 18 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Songur Yoran was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Orlin in the 47th minute. The Arsenal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Orlin to make the kick off. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Daniel Zorita, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 76 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Songur Yoran was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Orlin's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Songur Yoran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenal FC made a substitution. In the 94thth minute of the game Damaso Orlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The Arsenal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
