In the 12th minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Afonso da Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein got free with Marco Day in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludomil Ziomkowski. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Campbell in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludomil Ziomkowski saved CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ from getting behind. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Sam Campbell could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Ludomil Ziomkowski however easily saved by the left post. In the 80th minute, Edward Mcdonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludomil Ziomkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ were furious when Xande Campbell was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 84th minute, one of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ. Ludomil Ziomkowski had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Jenson Smith's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Sam Campbell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ludomil Ziomkowski. Sam Campbell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Ludomil Ziomkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ throughout the match.
