The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mitnarotov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. 胡耀南 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mitnarotov FC's Cemalettin Yatman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. Cemalettin Yatman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Anselmo Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cemalettin Yatman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemalettin Yatman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mitnarotov FC's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mitnarotov FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cemalettin Yatman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Germano Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 陆海烽 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anıl Ege Ufuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 陆海烽 in the 86th minute of play. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
