After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Dzintars Donass kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvīds Ancveriņš in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, FK BJSS's Arvīds Ancveriņš made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Arvīds Ancveriņš tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Toms Boze recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Toms Boze showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alnis Mežavecis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. FK BJSS's Vladislavs Bargais quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in FK BJSS's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alnis Mežavecis came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvīds Ancveriņš to strike the kick off in the second half. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after FK BJSS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Arvīds Ancveriņš came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvīds Ancveriņš went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Dzintars Donass came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FK BJSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladislavs Bargais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alnis Mežavecis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The excitement rose when FK BJSS's Helvijs Kundziņš after 91 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Venezuela's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raitis Līgatnieks during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
