The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Ortiz got free with Jacobo Nores in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Acácio Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Acácio Ortiz didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 28th minute. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Samuca Camargo's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Camargo helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Camargo. A hard shot 39 in the game by Acácio Ortiz from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Nores managed to make a qualified save. Paraguay's players were relieved. Samuca Camargo got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 40th match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituba - FSCMZ's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho de Queirós came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Ortiz in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Covarrubias got free with Rodriguinho de Queirós in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cristóvão Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Acácio Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Linares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Ortiz in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A throw-in in the 67th minute of the game was made by Cristóvão Linares with Acácio Ortiz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Ortiz in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Vinícius Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Jaime Pardo from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Rodriguinho de Queirós's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vinícius Leão hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Linares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Acácio Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Paraguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Imbituba - FSCMZ had won, even though Paraguay had held more of the ball.
