Ciriaco Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Moises Gayoso hit a great ball. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vänge IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. 22 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ciriaco Hernando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando. Ciriaco Hernando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Peru booed when Vänge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Godholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Vänge IF got a freekick which was hit by Lilo Stich. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Giordani in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Hernando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Måns Godholm went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Hernando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Axel Aronsson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the game Lilo Stich made a throw-in which Markus Albäck played forward. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Giordani in the 85th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 96th play minute Rafael Gallo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ciriaco Hernando. 1-5. The Vänge IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
