When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Patrick Galvão sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Weniger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. With an all-out effort, West Staines Massive's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrick Galvão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Galvão got free with Benito Sanz in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Weniger came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The corner ended in Helmuth Follmann almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz did a great save. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Patrick Galvão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Michael Weniger notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Michael Weniger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Helmuth Follmann who took care of the corner kick. Hugo Ferrant thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Benito Sanz, a very annoying self made goal in the 86th minute which led to 13-0. In the 90th minute, Helmuth Follmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. West Staines Massive's Yuan Qi was substituted for Moses Bardhan. Patrick Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Galvão went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score.
