RWDM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Omar Njoroge scored to the left of an out of position Tony Vandenberge, making the score, 3-4. Lukas Stuijckens struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Eduardo Dorado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RWDM. In the 94th minute, Lennert Van der Vloedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, RWDM's Tony Vandenberge got control of the ball when Nicolae Ceaușescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Hamunaptra walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
