Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 5th minute of the match. Anter Barroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Luca Zorita succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Anter Barroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avram Pârvan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 17th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anter Barroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Anter Barroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anter Barroso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Facundo Cadaval's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 24 minutes, Facundo Cadaval made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Academia Rio's Anter Barroso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Valer Necula. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Academia Rio's Nicolae Hizo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 32nd minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Anter Barroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Academia Rio's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olimpiu Dichiseanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anter Barroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olimpiu Dichiseanu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Academia Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Dichiseanu couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 67th minute of play. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Hizo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 82nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anter Barroso. That made the score 1-3 after 89 minutes of play. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lucian Petriceanu hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Avram Pârvan:s penalty. Avram Pârvan scored 2-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
