The throw-in from Başaran Şentürk in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Talha Mertkal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Julian Murillo sped through Kolonia Radlin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Talha Mertkal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Talha Mertkal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Kazimierz Iwanowski lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Rolando Noboa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play forced Kolonia Radlin's goalkeeper Talha Mertkal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Başaran Şentürk in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Marek Bergkamp made the kick off in the second half. Kolonia Radlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. In the 79th minute, one of Kolonia Radlin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kolonia Radlin. 81 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Talha Mertkal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Peru booed when Kolonia Radlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Başaran Şentürk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. A collision led to Kolonia Radlin getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. The Kolonia Radlin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
