Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Barros got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eufrasio Vall came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eufrasio Vall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Frederico Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Frederico Barros sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Jorge Sainz in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mariolo's Witold Pietras. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Frederico Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severo Santos. When Alberto Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Alberto Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Barros in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. 53 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Barros came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Mariolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Barros in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Frederico Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Froilan Ponc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Barros in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Frederico Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. After having played for 75 minutes, Frederico Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eufrasio Vall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 77th minute. Mariolo's Frederico Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Witold Pietras got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Barros in the 84th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariolo's Eufrasio Vall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 85th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Barros in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Frederico Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariolo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
