Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match, Andreas Falk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 7 minutes into the match, Andreas Falk notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 minutes of play, Northland Vikings's Gao Peng Ran made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gao Peng Ran came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Northland Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gao Peng Ran couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Peng Ran in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Peng Ran came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Gao Peng Ran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Gao Peng Ran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gao Peng Ran in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonatan Gerdberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Northland Vikings's Jonatan Gerdberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Cotilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Gerdberg struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northland Vikings. 45 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's Andreas Falk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Northland Vikings's Ralf Allgöwer was substituted for Anthony Nwakaeme. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gao Peng Ran was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Peng Ran came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gao Peng Ran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Miguel Miralles hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Peng Ran came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gao Peng Ran in the 57th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Jorge Azenha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Panama booed when Northland Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Azenha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Ture Waller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ture Waller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Ture Waller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Northland Vikings booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ture Waller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Waller in the 87th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Waller in the 89th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Ture Waller notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
