Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The audience was convinced that Danijel Petrlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 3 minutes, Danijel Petrlin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Antonio Hrste got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 12th minute of the game Joshua Curbelo made a throw-in which Abram Luque played forward. After 17 played minutes Maksimir got a freekick which was hit by Šandor Dajčić. Moises Fernandino's late challenge caught a Maksimir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Fernandino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maksimir booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Danijel Petrlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Danijel Petrlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Šandor Dajčić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danijel Petrlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danijel Petrlin in the 46th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danijel Petrlin in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danijel Petrlin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Danijel Petrlin took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Danijel Petrlin sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. In the 62nd minute Danijel Petrlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Antonio Križanec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 69th minute. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danijel Petrlin's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Antonio Križanec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maksimir's Siniša Lerotić was substituted for Marin Kuharić. 75 minutes into the match, Adrijan Grbović notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Siniša Lerotić made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. 87 minutes into the game, Adrijan Grbović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute of the game Jorge Magrina made a throw-in which Abram Luque played forward. After having played for 91 minutes, Frano Letina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maksimir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frano Letina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrijan Grbović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Križanec having to interfere. There was no doubt that Maksimir were the better team. Maksimir's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
