In the 7th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liu Yan Yan. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Blai Bacardi got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petru Nisporeanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th play minute Örjan Forssell came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Cotilla. 1-0. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Mauricio Guadalupe sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Örjan Forssell took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. 29 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petru Nisporeanu. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 38 minutes into the game, Mauricio Guadalupe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Blai Bacardi took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. In the 45th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinton Isern to maneuver through the defense. Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when Örjan Forssell made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Abraham Alguacil could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Petru Nisporeanu however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Petru Nisporeanu in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aaron Barrios charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Barrios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Liu Yan Yan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Liu Yan Yan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Forssell in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Liu Yan Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petru Nisporeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Yan Yan came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Forssell in the 76th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liu Yan Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
