Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Moises Fernandino started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Leocadio Teja tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Fidalgo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. Xano Villerias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leocadio Teja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Florentino Fidalgo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Saturnin Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artigas's Florentino Fidalgo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Lorenzo Yepes got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Leocadio Teja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Artigas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leocadio Teja, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes El Salvador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valentin Monteagudo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Xano Villerias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th minute, Artigas's Xano Villerias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Luis Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Luis Rubio got a free kick in the 38th minute. Valentin Monteagudo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artigas. If Florentino Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leocadio Teja in the 43rd minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Florentino Fidalgo put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Artigas made a substitution. Sadurni Nadal replaced Florentino Fidalgo. Artigas's Lekubegi Turiel was substituted for Saturnin Sanches. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lia Engraba to make the kick off. Lia Engraba might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lia Engraba ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute Lia Engraba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lia Engraba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Artigas's Lia Engraba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Lia Engraba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. The Artigas fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Artigas's Lia Engraba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 80th minute Lia Engraba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Lia Engraba made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadurni Nadal in the 85th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lia Engraba went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. After 96 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Curbelo. There was no doubt that Artigas were the better team. Artigas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
