Emil Wielopolski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Zhao Sen Yang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Emil Wielopolski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Chiuzbaian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Zhao Sen Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dacian Tilea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Sen Yang made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Zhao Sen Yang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Zhao Sen Yang came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhao Sen Yang couldn't finish the play. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zhao Sen Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Chiuzbaian having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Sen Yang's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
