Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Alain Berset started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Marco Odermatt hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Williams Imholz in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Alain Berset tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Antonio Arias's late challenge caught a Espen Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Arias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Alberto Giacometti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Alain Berset reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 2-1. Marco Odermatt kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Espen Steelers's Patricio Clerc was substituted for Marco Odermatt. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Espen Steelers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the 56th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Montez in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Berset in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Williams Imholz scored 3-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Stan Wawrinka replaced Rogelio Montez. Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini was substituted for Ingo Minder. After 83 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Giacometti who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Espen Steelers's Alberto Giacometti to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Berset in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Berset came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Espen Steelers could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
