Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Epifanio Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Orlan in the 5th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Juanita's Petrică Ştefoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Cristian Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Juanita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 15th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petrică Ştefoi skillfully saved the ball. Epifanio Orlan struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Juanita. In the 22nd minute, Epifanio Orlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Orlan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Petrică Ştefoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31st minute, Epifanio Orlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Juanita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Orlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petrică Ştefoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Theodore came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Juanita's Epifanio Orlan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Epifanio Orlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute Club Atletico Juanita were awarded a corner. Benigno Lopes went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Orlan in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's Epifanio Orlan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Orlan in the 93rd minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Club Atletico Juanita were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
