In the 22nd minute, Toni Akwa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Freixa. The goal made the score 1-0. After 28 played minutes Pedrão SAF got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Canales. When Emílio Canales was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. In the 31st match minute, Pedrão SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Canales to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Julio Chicote. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pedrão SAF's goalkeeper Balduíno Flores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Eduardo Fontirroig off the ground. In the 67th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pedro Malheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Pedrão SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Gallo to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Malheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedrão SAF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
