In the 4th minute Ernest Oardă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Mirea did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jacobo Nores 9 minutes into the match. Ernest Oardă struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UM Timisoara. 17 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Mirea came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Mirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Paul Mirea took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. In the last second Jacobo Nores throw himself and got hold of the ball when Paul Mirea in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 38th minute of play forced UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Creteanu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Juan Gaitan, a very annoying self made goal in the 40th minute which led to 4-1. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Mirea in the 44th minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 45 in the game by Paul Mirea from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Nores managed to make a qualified save. Paraguay's players were relieved.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Mirea made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Paul Mirea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Mourato in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Iker Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, UM Timisoara's Paul Ghimpu got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Mirea came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Primitivo Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62ndth minute of the game Paul Mirea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Paraguay booed when UM Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Ghimpu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Paul Mirea made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. UM Timisoara's Basarab Drăgoi was substituted for Alex Bungescu. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Paul Mirea sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. When Paul Ghimpu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the UM Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Ghimpu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Alan Campos got a free kick in the 94th minute. UM Timisoara's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
