Emiliano Polito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honduras were furious when Ivan Navarro was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Duri come il marmo a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alberigo Addari, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Alberigo Addari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Alberigo Addari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mary Cau hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Duri come il marmo's Emiliano Polito didn't even have to move. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Addari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Emilio Rizzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Corrado Contestabile sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Polito having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Alberigo Addari reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 2-1. A sloppy throw-in by Adriano Bianchini in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Emiliano Polito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Villa was the one to do the kick off. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Rizzo in the 52nd minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corrado Contestabile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Ludvig Rudkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Polito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Moises Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Polito. That made the score 2-2 in the 62 minute of play. Duri come il marmo's Flavio Lattanzio was substituted for Fabiano Natale. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 67th minute of play forced Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Emiliano Polito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duri come il marmo made a substitution. Carter Romanese replaced Corrado Contestabile. Duri come il marmo's Cristoforo Di Loreto was substituted for Mary Cau. In the 72nd minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Addari, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tafalla. 76 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Addari came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duri come il marmo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ludvig Rudkvist in the 77th minute. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Emilio Rizzo sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. After 82 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. When Emilio Rizzo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Duri come il marmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Rizzo couldn't finish the play. Emiliano Polito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 88th minute of the match. Carter Romanese struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duri come il marmo. 93 minutes into the game, Alberigo Addari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 96 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Addari came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Duri come il marmo.
