Sebastião Tróia ran over to the corner to take the kick. 24 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafe Vallina. When Atletico Aragua FC's Arnold Collins in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After taking down the ball on Atletico Aragua FC's corner Miguel Echavarria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Henrique Prata quite easily take care of the ball. Haitz Langarica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowen Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haitz Langarica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Dante in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspard Izquierdo in the 58th minute of play forced Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Collins in the 61st minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Gaspard Izquierdo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Aragua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Bulls the free kick. Viviano Omente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Rowen Doherty put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Haitz Langarica.
