It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 19th minute, but Bruno Hermes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Huracán Varsovia hanging dry this time. Bruno Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Huracán Varsovia's zone, Leopold Heinloo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Hermes came out of the goal and Leopold Heinloo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39th play minutes Kamel Espitalier shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Bruno Hermes and just under the crossbar into goal. Saip Baltaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacek Bondel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dobromir Pahucki in the 43rd minute of play forced Salamanca UDS's goalkeeper Saip Baltaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when He Di Quan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Huracán Varsovia's Saip Baltaş threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacek Bondel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Saip Baltaş made an important save on a dangerous shot by He Di Quan in the 57th minute. Saip Baltaş made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when He Di Quan sent off a good shot on target. Saip Baltaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobromir Pahucki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huracán Varsovia's He Di Quan came free and shot a quick shot against goal 75 minutes in the game, fortunately Saip Baltaş had problems saving as it came toward the left post. He Di Quan took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saip Baltaş. Saip Baltaş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Huracán Varsovia's Bruno Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamel Espitalier in the 84th minute of play. Igor Iwanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Huracán Varsovia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Huracán Varsovia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
