An unexpectedly hard shot by Korkut Urza in the 21st minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Korkut Urza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Amorebieta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Candido Mercurio made a huge save. Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Mariano Kiradzhiyski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the KPO BIZARRO defense, Giorgos Kontodimos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Mercurio. The KPO BIZARRO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Mercurio should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Feng Ling came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute KPO BIZARRO were awarded a corner. Guiseppe Meazza went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Go Ahead Eagles fans cheered their team off the field, for while KPO BIZARRO had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
