If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柳岚鸿, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Fred Bonk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 方桑正 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 方桑正 in the 93rd minute of play. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented 福建宁德活塞队 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
