In the 28th minute of the match, Seve Sevens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense.
