Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14thth minute of the game Meriç Özsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Meriç Özsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Meriç Özsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Tahir Pınarbaşı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deivid De Souza. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Meriç Özsen in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Tahir Pınarbaşı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKÇEŞMESPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 30th match minute, AKÇEŞMESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tahir Pınarbaşı to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Leo Salomon. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Taffarel having to interfere. When Berto Monta fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AKÇEŞMESPOR's protests and gave Berto Monta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, one of AKÇEŞMESPOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AKÇEŞMESPOR. Cláudio Taffarel had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in AKÇEŞMESPOR's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Taffarel came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Meriç Özsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Meriç Özsen made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, AKÇEŞMESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meriç Özsen to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Taffarel was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meriç Özsen in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel. Cláudio Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Friedrich Nietzsche put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. AKÇEŞMESPOR's Mehmet Hakkı Suhan was substituted for Meriç Özsen. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Deivid De Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Deivid De Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AKÇEŞMESPOR made a substitution. Abdurrahim Tunçkan replaced Charlie Frisk. In the 76th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cláudio Taffarel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Friedrich Nietzsche came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedrich Nietzsche in the 82nd minute of play. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Hakkı Suhan in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AKÇEŞMESPOR.
