Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Slawomir Majak kicked off to start the match. Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Slawomir Majak came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Seve Sevens in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mexico's Felix Luque. 9 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ma Yong Jun. Karen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Slawomir Majak tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 14th minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Ma Yong Jun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Oskar Sandell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Oskar Sandell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ma Yong Jun. Ma Yong Jun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of play. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Lövkvist in the 45th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ma Yong Jun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ma Yong Jun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 58th minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Arvin Svanberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Sandell in the 64th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Åke Rolandsson kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ma Yong Jun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The Karen FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
