With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Aurelian Ilie in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. Luiz Gustavo do Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Gustavo do Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute of the match, Luiz Gustavo do Valle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ricardo Zorita saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luiz Gustavo do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Ricardo Zorita was a little too slow when Luiz Gustavo do Valle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo do Valle came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Luiz Gustavo do Valle notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Luiz Gustavo do Valle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita, 5-0. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 55th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Pedro Luís Alvarenga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ricardo Zorita in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luiz Gustavo do Valle scored 8-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. El Salvador's attentive Valentino Ferrant managed to snatch the ball when Aurelian Ilie made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo do Valle came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floripa Lions FSCMZ made a substitution. Gilberto Sousa replaced Aloísio Castro. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Hortêncio Montenegro was substituted for Luiz Gustavo do Valle. In the 73rd minute, Gilberto Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Sousa in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Gilberto Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. In the 84thth minute of the game Hortêncio Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Gilberto Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's José Carlos Alagoano suffered a concussion in the 89th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 91st minute, Marco Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Montenegro came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Tamayo was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 94 minutes, Valentino Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Floripa Lions FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valentino Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Alvarenga in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Montenegro came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luís Alvarenga in the 98th minute. Arif Gaffar Ayalp hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
