After some careless play in the ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ defense, Hector Covarrubias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edwin van der Sar. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edwin van der Sar should have stopped the shot. In the 6th minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pacorro Aguilar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pacorro Aguilar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Pacorro Aguilar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pacorro Aguilar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pacorro Aguilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pacorro Aguilar got free with Jacobo Nores in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pacorro Aguilar struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦. Gaspar Alborza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Pacorro Aguilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jedrzej Kloczko hit a great ball. Juan Diego Tenorio's late challenge caught a ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Diego Tenorio helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pacorro Aguilar to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, one of Paraguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ made a substitution. Noel Guerrero replaced Gaspar Alborza. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ made a substitution. Pero Falla replaced Pacorro Aguilar. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pero Falla, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Juan Diego Tenorio was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Juan Diego Tenorio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pero Falla. But to his dismay, Pero Falla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 73 minutes into the game, Pero Falla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Nalo Loaisa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jaime Pardo, made in the 76th minute of the game. When ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pero Falla in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pero Falla in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Pero Falla made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 87th minute, Pero Falla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. 92 minutes into the match, Pero Falla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pero Falla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. Pero Falla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pero Falla's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paraguay for a fine match.
