In the 22nd minute László Benke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olaf Wieczorek during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marciano Marino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neymar Da Silva in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Neymar Da Silva came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, László Benke recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. László Benke showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Olaf Wieczorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Várdomb's Mátyás Kurucz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Norbert Kuncz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marciano Marino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 51 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. 55 minutes into the match, Várdomb's goalkeeper Marciano Marino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. When Alex Cambeiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neymar Da Silva in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neymar Da Silva in the 73rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Isidoro Sarmiento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Wieczorek in the 78th minute of play.
