Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of D.J. 武磊's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhu Yan Quan, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. 武磊 in the 23rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Victoria Toruń:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Borys Poreda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Victoria Toruń got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Burt Burachek ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ture Springfält was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

The wind increased when D.J. 武磊 made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Victoria Toruń's Dragolyub Dzhahov got a free kick in the 51st minute. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Borys Poreda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ture Springfält scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dragolyub Dzhahov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Victoria Toruń.
