Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Leão in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes in the game Enrico Carballeira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luiz Fábio Leão.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Leão was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Luiz Fábio Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Adelino Vasconcelos threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 58th minute, Luís Eduardo Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Leão in the 63rd minute of play. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio Leão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fábio Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1.
