Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundson Ross in the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 47 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marjus Laçka was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundson Ross stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marjus Laçka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 minutes ❇ᛗᛁᛏᚱᚺᚨᚾᛞᛁᚱ❇'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Marjus Laçka made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Marjus Laçka in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marjus Laçka. Marjus Laçka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 82 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. With a little luck, ❇ᛗᛁᛏᚱᚺᚨᚾᛞᛁᚱ❇'s Marjus Laçka got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Paolo Garro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Paolo Garro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundson Ross, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
