Teobaldo Ubarna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute El Renacer del Quijano FC were awarded a corner. Peneios Protopsaltis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Nunez Maurin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Peneios Protopsaltis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Snow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Tomas Snow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Teobaldo Ubarna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peneios Protopsaltis was slow to take the kick. During this time El Renacer del Quijano FC's players had a chance to rest. Peneios Protopsaltis made a great header on El Renacer del Quijano FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to El Renacer del Quijano FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Koit Einasto hit a great ball. Tomas Snow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Andino during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Lucas Cresconio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Tomas Snow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teobaldo Ubarna was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play forced El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Tomas Snow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's Teobaldo Ubarna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Snow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tomas Snow came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Ádám Páncsics was substituted for Nunez Maurin. Tomas Snow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. Tomas Snow was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. In the 81st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. When Teobaldo Ubarna came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the El Renacer del Quijano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Ubarna couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El Renacer del Quijano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Friberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The El Renacer del Quijano FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
