Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match, Fidel Blunt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Fidel Blunt tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Fabian Hludzenski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Astral's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Hludzenski came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Hludzenski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Blunt in the 14th minute of the match. Astral were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roch Kochniarczyk took the corner. The corner ended in Roch Kochniarczyk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. 17 minutes into the game, Roch Kochniarczyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Astral's Fabian Hludzenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Kochniarczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roch Kochniarczyk who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Astral's Roch Kochniarczyk to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, Astral's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roch Kochniarczyk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Cristian Sancho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 31 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fabian Hludzenski was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Hludzenski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fabian Hludzenski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Blunt was the one to do the kick off. Fabian Hludzenski made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Werra in the 55th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Astral's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Fabian Hludzenski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Hludzenski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Astral's Beppe Colombi got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute Astral were awarded a corner. Roch Kochniarczyk went to the cornerflag to take it. Astral's Roch Kochniarczyk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 75th minute, Astral's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Astral's goalkeeper Fabian Hludzenski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Astral's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Astral's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astral's goalkeeper Fabian Hludzenski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Blunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Hludzenski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
