Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 4th minute of play. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Donatello in the 6th minute of play. Laércio Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute, Primitivo Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Inter de São Paulo's Marquinhos Botelho got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute Laércio Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Loureiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Nores. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 37th minute, Laércio Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de São Paulo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Laércio Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Laércio Loureiro scored 4-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laércio Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Predrag Djordjević hit a great ball. Inter de São Paulo made a substitution. Yan Ceresso replaced César Alagoano. After 48 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Predrag Djordjević.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Donatello made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jose Sanz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Laércio Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Loureiro went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Donatello in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Jose Sanz kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Laércio Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Donatello in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Loureiro in the 82nd minute of the match. Laércio Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 89th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The audience was convinced that Laércio Loureiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Inter de São Paulo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
