Axel Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Prestes having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoel Liñan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Cavern Club had won after a very even match.
