Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 3rd minute of play forced Raaojen's goalkeeper Mustafa Haydar Yalaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Raaojen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto George didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Haydar Yalaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Nildo Fernandes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Raaojen defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Haydar Yalaz. The Raaojen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Haydar Yalaz should have stopped the shot. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Arnulfo Bastiaro scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-2. Mehmet Ali Ağca came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Ali Ağca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Fernandes made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Fernandes came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Mehmet Ali Ağca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro in the 63rd minute of play. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Fernanco kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Luisinho Tavares put in a rough tackle. Axel Tasis's shot from long distance in the 83rd minute was not bad at all, but Raaojen's Mustafa Haydar Yalaz knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. If Arnulfo Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Ali Ağca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Arnulfo Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raaojen's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Bastiaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
