In the 5th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. LA VIOLA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson did a great save. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Albert Rutledge came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Martinsson having to interfere. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gottfrid Brenner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, LA VIOLA's Albert Rutledge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 29 minutes into the game, Albert Rutledge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Albert Rutledge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 32 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Felix Martinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Rutledge in the 33rd minute of the match. Svante Bäckman hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Rutledge in the 42nd minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Felix Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Felix Martinsson in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Abrahamsson in the 66th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Albert Rutledge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA VIOLA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save LA VIOLA from getting a goal against them. After 72 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Uter, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Uter in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Osvald Uter managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA VIOLA's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvald Uter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes, Rigoberto Mina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the LA VIOLA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albert Rutledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
