Sielce Warszawa's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Kaczynski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Onana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janusz Haskiewicz got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute of the match Sielce Warszawa got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kajetan Glapiak ran over to the corner to take the kick. Apolo Lia was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janusz Haskiewicz in the 17th minute of play. Janusz Haskiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kajetan Glapiak was slow to take the kick. During this time Sielce Warszawa's players had a chance to rest. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
