In the 8th match minute, Säfvahöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Hector Casse. Säfvahöjden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Säfvahöjden defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Casse. The Säfvahöjden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Casse should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Casse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Pan Yan Rong could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Hector Casse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. When Pan Yan Rong came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Säfvahöjden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pan Yan Rong couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Yan Rong in the 40th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pan Yan Rong went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bergfelt in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Bergfelt to strike the kick off in the second half. Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pan Yan Rong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Yan Rong came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Säfvahöjden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Olenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Casse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador played a much better game than Säfvahöjden and deserved their victory. The Säfvahöjden players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
