With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. JiOmaro's Songurbey Tuncal got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Songurbey Tuncal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Sainz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Songurbey Tuncal came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çelebi Sarpkan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. The supporters of Uruguay booed when JiOmaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çelebi Sarpkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Uruguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Uruguay may have spent more time on the ball, but JiOmaro were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
