Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Amaral in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Tião Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Muget's Isac Gligor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute Florin Stancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Stancu in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Muget's Tião Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 28th minute of the match, Garcia Osuna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Isac Gligor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Isac Gligor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walery Kuszczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Alaaddin Abdul Alim tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Florin Stancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Gligor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Isac Gligor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Isac Gligor in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Stancu in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Muget got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joan Quesada ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joan Quesada hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Florin Stancu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muget fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Muget getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Garcia Osuna hit a great ball.
