In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kickers United's goalkeeper Cederik Huts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Pan De Wen with Jorge Reijnders as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 10th minute Luca Savino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Jacinto Romero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cederik Huts. The goal made the score 1-0. Kickers United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamin Vandekerkhove in the 16th minute. The corner led to Kickers United's Dino Maquiano getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Savino came free, but Broderick Ceney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Champions Iasi's Cederik Huts threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gheorghe Chifu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gheorghe Chifu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 25th playminute. 29 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goalkeeper Cederik Huts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Romero. Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Maquiano in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Romero in the 38th minute of play forced Kickers United's goalkeeper Cederik Huts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Champions Iasi were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Kickers United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alessandro Sarmento took the corner. Alex Cârju hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Alex Cârju fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Pieters. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Savino in the 44th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Broderick Ceney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Broderick Ceney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Savino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Blasi in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Broderick Ceney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Kickers United's Luca Savino got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Jacinto Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Savino got free with Broderick Ceney in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 57 minutes, Jacinto Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champions Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cederik Huts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Romero in the 60th minute of play. Cederik Huts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Broderick Ceney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Maquiano in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Luca Savino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Jacinto Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cederik Huts. Kickers United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Romero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Kickers United made a substitution. Lode Rouvroys replaced Jorge Reijnders. 90 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Romero came free, but Cederik Huts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Champions Iasi's attentive Pavel Buculeasa managed to snatch the ball when Antonio Netels made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lode Rouvroys in the 93rd minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Broderick Ceney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Champions Iasi were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kickers United for a fine match.
